About Augusta GA

Augusta, GA is a great place to live, work and play. Below is a list of community websites to help you in your research. Please note these links are outside the Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Executive Partners website. Augusta, GA, is likely best known for its golf because of the annual Masters Tournament.  However, Augusta is the "Garden City" to approximately a half-million residents, and is the 2nd largest city in the state of Georgia.   In addition to a temperate climate,  low cost of living and affordable housing, Augusta is a beautiful historic city nestled along the Savannah River.  It has a robust economy thanks to the multitude of industry and government agencies that have operations in the CSRA, including Bridgestone-Firestone, Kellogg, Nutra Sweet, Proctor & Gamble,  International Paper and Savannah River Site/US Dept. of Energy.  Augusta is also home to soldiers and civilians supporting Ft. Gordon, considered the largest and most technologically advanced communications, electronics and information technology training center in the world.
